tour takes you to the world famous bridge on
the River Kwai, built during World War II by
the prisoners of war. The bridge is located
near the town of Kanchanaburi, 130 kms west
of Bangkok. You will visit the well-kept cemetery,
which contain the graves of an estimated 9,000
allied soldiers who lost their lives while building
the bridge and constructing the notorious "Death
Railway" which the Japanese had hoped to
stretch all the way to the Burmese border.

most interesting full day tour takes you to
the rural floating market of Damnoen Saduak
situated 110 kms west of Bangkok. The tour includes
a visit to Nakorn Pathom, site of the highest
Chedi in Thailand called "Phra Pathom Chedi"
which is the largest pagoda in Southeast Asia.
Continue to the River Kwai for lunch at the

through the countryside to the north of Bangkok,
heading for Ayutthaya, the former capital of
Siam. Once the center of the Kingdom, today
only the ruins of this magnificent city remain.
Visit the Summer Palace of King Rama IV with
its mixture of Thai, Chinese and Gothic architecture,
a well-preserved "monument" to a former
historical period. Return to Bangkok by boat
and enjoy lunch on board whilst cruising down
the busy Chao Phaya River, watching life on
the river as it passes you by!

A
full day visit to Ayutthaya, the former capital
of Thailand (1350-1767) situated 90 kms north
of Bangkok. At the magnificent city ruins you
can see Wat Phra Sri Sanpetch with three spired
pagodas, the large Buddha image of Phra Mongkol
Bophit and then visit to Wat Chaiya Mongkol.
This tour also includes a boat trip to Bang
Pa-In, the former Royal Summer Residence of
King Rama V consisting of buildings in a quaint
mixture of European and Thai architecture. You
will have a chance to visit the interior of
Chinese Wehat Chamrun Palace.
