DAY 01
Bangkok - Luang Prabang
 
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to the hotel. Luang Prabang is perhaps the best-preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia . The tranquility and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos . After a short rest, we visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai; we then climb up to the top of Mount Phousi to explore the sacred, gilded stupa as well as capture a beautiful view of the city and the Mekong River at sunset. From there, we visit the Night Market, where you can browse a lovely selection of handmade textiles, made by the local and hilltribe people surrounding Luang Prabang.

DAY 02
Luang Prabang – Pak Ou cave. (B)
 

And optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of affront-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (ubiquitous sticky rice) from the faithful residents. This addition is very unique in Laos , being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the procession.

Today, we enjoy a short-guided tour seeing the city's oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture. We then embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River , which also gives us a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside as well as explore the mysterious Pak Ou Caves , two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by devoted pilgrims. Along the way, we will stop at the village of Ban Xanghai , where the local rice wine is produced. On return, we take a short stop to another small village Ban Xankhong, which is well known for its hand weaving.

DAY 03
Luang Prabang – Vientiane . (B)
 

The National Museum (close Tuesday) at the former Royal Palace, displays a lovely collection of the artefacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign. The National Museum and the Central Market are not to be missed. We visit these sights in the morning before catching our flight back to Vientiane . Upon arrival in Vientiane , we see the major sights of the capital; including the oldest Wat Sisaket, the temple with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo , which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. On the way to Lao's national precious heritage, the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, we stop enroute to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument , which is well known as Vientiane 's own Arc de Triumph. We watch the sunset by Mekong Riverside and spend the evening here absorbing the city's nightlife.

DAY 04
Vientiane - City Tour + Buddha Park . (B)
 

Breakfast, We  will pay a visit to the studio of Carol Cassidy, an American who has done much to advance the Lao weaving tradition. We continue the major Wats of Wat Mixai, Wat Ong Tu, Wat Haisok and Wat In Paeng, ending with some French colonial houses. In the afternoon we transfer out to see the Buddha Park , a scattered enchanting collection of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures on the Mekong Riverside meadow, close to the Friendship Bridge . There are approximately 200 religious images dating back over 500 years, which were created by a mysterious monk spreading his philosophy on life and revealing his ideas about the universe. A spectacular view of over the Mekong River at sunset is a perfect way to finish the day.

Vientiane - Phnom Penh . (B)
 

After breakfast, we visit the Morning Market and the weaving village of Ban Nong Bouathong (if time permits). After that transfer to Wattay airport for flight departs to Phnom Penh .

Upon arrival at Phnom Penh Airport by late morning flight, you will be welcome by our friendly tour guide then accompany you to the hotel . The capital city of Phnom Penh was once considered the loveliest city of Indochina . Despite its recent turbulent history, it still maintains considerable charm. A city tour acquaints us with some major sights of Phnom Penh . This morning start visit Wat Phnom (rebuild in 1434, 1806, 1894 and 1926), a small hill crowned by an active Wat (Pagoda) marks the legendary founding place of the Phnom Penh . Then visit Yeay Penh's statue (grand mother Penh) at southwest of the hills, who found four statues of the Buddha and she was build a hill or Phnom in AD 1372 for placed a shrine on top to the house the precious artifacts. The Victory Monument , build in 1955, it is the symbolize Cambodian Independence regained from French colonialism in 1953. Then visit Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21 prison). This prison was a high school, and used as a prison by Pol Pot's security forces and became the largest center for detention and torture during the rule of the Khmer Rouge.

PM: In the afternoon, visit National Museum, it was build in 1917and designed in Khmer style by famed French architect Georges Groslier & Ecole Des Arts. The museum has a good collection of Khmer sculptures dating from the pre-Angkor period (4 th centuries) to post-Angkor period (14 th centuries). Then visit Royal Palace , built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town, Silver Pagoda, Located within the grounds of the Royal Palace , the Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5000 silver tiles. When you exit from the Royal Palaces, Then continue your visit to the riverfront , it is the most popular place for the tourist. DAY 06
Phnom Penh Tours (B)
 

Breakfast at hotel;

AM: Visit the notorious Killing Fields " Choeung Ek" 15km southwest of Phnom Penh . This one is the site of brutal executions of more than 17,000 individuals, most of whom first suffered through interrogations, torture and deprivation in Toul Sleng Prison during Pol Pot regime (From 1975–1979). Then return back on the way drop and visit to the handicraft shop, spa and vocational training restaurant. This place was created in 1996 by Pour un Sourire d' Enfant (PSE) www.pse.asso.fr . Is the NGO that aims to rescue Cambodian children who are forced to scavenge through the rubbish dumps to survive, especially around Steung Mean Chey garbage dump in Phnom Penh . Today we prefer you to have lunch over there .

PM: Visit Central Market (Phsar Thom Thmei), the distinctive art-deco styling of this market makes it stand out among the architecture of Phnom Penh , where you can shop for souvenirs, clothes, jewelry, silver products, etc. (Optional for boat cruise along the Mekong River, 1 or 2hrs)

Phnom Penh - Siem Reap (B)

AM: Transfer to Siem Reap by morning flight (FT992@ 0930-1020). The town of Siem Reap is our base for visiting the world famous temples of the ancient city Angkor , which is home for the capital of the powerful Khmer Empire dating from 802 AD to 1350 AD. This stunning and extensive site sprawls through the dense jungle, over an area of 60 square miles. On arrival met and transfer direct to hotel for check in. Visit the antique capital of Angkor Thom (12 century): the South Gate with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk, the Bayon Temple , unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara, the Phimeanakas, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King.

PM: Visit Angkor National Museum & to the famous temple: Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat is a World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology, visit Bakheng Temple and enjoy a romantic sun set view form Bakheng Hills. Dinner and enjoy with Aspara Dance Show at local restaurant (Optional for elephant or balloon riding)

DAY 08

AM: This morning, we drive to Kbal Spean. Walk 45 minutes through the forest to the top of the hill to reach Kbal Spean, the " Thousand Linga River ." Discover the 10th-12th century sculptures chiseled into the rocky riverbed, the Royal Bath and the waterfall. Continue to the enchanting temple of the Banteay Srei, nearly everyone's favorite site. The special charm of this temple lies in its compact size, remarkable state of preservation, and the excellence of it decorative carvings, visit Banteay Samre. Picnic lunch will be reserved. Return to Siem Reap at the afternoon

PM: We embark on Ox cart to visiting the Khmer Village and enjoy view of the rice field and a lots of palm trees with great fresh air. We board on boat in Tonle Sap Lake , the " Great Lake " of Cambodia , one of the largest in Asia . Here, enjoy a brief cruise past floating villages complete with schools, restaurants, and hospitals

AM: Visit Ta Prohm , one of the area's most beautiful temples. Ta Prohm has been relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery. Neak Pean, a fountain built in the middle of a pool (representing the paradisiacal Himalayan mountain-lake), Ta Som, built in late 12th century C.E. the most distant temple on the grand circuit, small but classic. Preah Khan temple , Built by the King Jayavarman VII. Lunch at local restaurant

PM: Visit the unique interior brick sculptures of Prasat Kravan, Srah Srang ( "The Royal Baths" was once used for ritual bathing), Banteay Kdei (surrounded by 4 concentric walls), Ta Keo, constructed in late 10th early 11th century C.E, the first temple to be constructed wholly of sandstone. Then transfer to Siem Reap Airport for departure to Bangkok or next destination by evening flight.
