Thank you for coordinating everything and reducing our stress.
This was our best vacation yet!

My wife and I went on the "Best of SE Asia" tour in the middle of May and it was terrific. Everything was well orchestrated, making it an easy and relaxing experience. We were even in Bangkok during the riots, but had no
problems other than a few traffic delays.

All of the hotels were great with one exception. The Grand Hotel in Vietnam was anything but GRAND. However all of the others were either new or recently renovated and well maintained and they had all of the amenities international travelers have come to expect.

The guides were also wonderful, each well versed in their areas, helpful and no language difficulties. We opted to take a couple of additional tours (i.e. the killing fields in Phnom Penh and the Tunnels of Cu Chi in Ho Chi Minh City) and the guides were happy to accommodate.

Regarding the itinerary itself, the two highlights were Siem Reap and Luang Prabang and the two items we felt could be dropped were Vientiane and Halong Bay. There really is not much in Vientiane and Halong Bay is simply too far (2 hr drive each way) from the hotel. In their place, we recommend spending another day in Siem Reap and another day exploring the area around Saigon.

Regardless, we had a wonderful experience and We are recommending A&F to all of our friends.

Thanks for making it easy!

  • We never had problems because of the political issues.
  • Having a van with air conditioner is really a plus!
  • The 3 hotels were very nice (The I Residence is the one we liked the
most) and the service from the guides and hotel staff was excellent!
  • Our best guide was Dere (in Chiang Mai) – he was very nice to us and
knows very well the places we visited, as well as cultural and historical
    information.
  • Natapong (or Bruno) was very nice to us too, the fact that he speaks
Spanish was a nice detail but we think that the only thing he is missing
is more detailed information (historical and cultural) from all the
temples we visited with him (in Bangkok).
  • The Elephant Camp, the Phi Phi Island tour and the Cantonese dinner were
    excellent (just to mention some).
  • The Golden Triangle trip we think is very long to do so few things,
maybe it will be nice to stay one day there and have more activities or if
it is not possible do another trip instead.
  • Finally, your service and attentions as Tourist Agency is very good. We
got a really nice impression from you. Thanks for everything!

Thank you so much for organising this trip for us. We had a great time and are now back home in Australia. We are considering more trips around SE Asia and will certainly be booking through your office again.

We would like to ask you a favour, we had a fantastic guide called Sam (Samnung?) in Siem Riep. A young man around 27. We have many friends who are interested in going after hearing our story. Are you able to find out his full name and how to contact him? We were on the tour from Aug 20 to 22 and stayed at the Tara Angkor Hotel. We will recommend to our friends to contact you for booking but they would like to know if Sam will be available in future

The trip was organized very well by A&F tour: pick up was organized, hotel perfect, the tour not too much but not too less, very good quality guide with good knowledge of history, customs, nature and even with some singing talent, Ramayana performance in front of Prambanan temple and even the choice of the restaurants and the food quality was good (which is the most difficult task for a Thai group).

All over, one the nicest and most impressive trips in Asia I ever did!

The only negative point is the inconvenience changing the airplane with Airasia.

Anyhow, thanks a lot to make this possible and maybe we will have the chance again next year.

Our group of 19 passengers has just returned from a holiday in Thailand which was booked through your company.  It would be a grave miscarriage of justice if I were not to write to acknowledge the hard work, dedication to detail and the extremely cheerful and ever obliging attitude of Mr Sann in helping my group have such an enjoyable and memorable holiday in Thailand.  I would be very grateful if you would kindly pass on our sentiments to Mr Sann.  He is an asset to your company and it has been a pleasure dealing with him.  I can assure you we on our part will do our utmost to recommend your company ( and Khun Sann in particular ) to any friend wishing to have a holiday in South-East Asia.

We had a wonderful trip! Thanks so much for the great package you put together. We enjoyed having the vans, drivers and guides for our personal service and all were very expert and knowledgeable. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and ranged from quite lavish to rather ordinary, but everything met or exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious, varied and extremely plentiful. In fact, several times we asked for smaller portions because we simply could not eat the over-abundance of food served. The main attractions were the scenery – which was magnificent – incredible mountains, lakes and forests… and the culture – fascinating and varied! We appreciated being off the beaten track, and away from the big cities, yet everywhere we went, we encountered people who strove to care for us and insure a pleasant visit. Though not every detail was perfect, (as you could hardly expect on a trip of such complexity,) we were impressed by the level of coordination that was involved in making sure our transportation, accommodations, and itinerary all flowed together, involving as they did several locations and different sets of guides and drivers. Our first guide, Karen, even made sure that the hotel provided a birthday cake for Nancy 's birthday! We have been telling our friends about the great value and service you provided and will definitely look to you again for future holiday tours.

Thankyou so much for your efforts and A & F Tours professional organization of not only our day tours from Bangkok but also the wonderful 7D6N Historical and Hill Country Private Tour. All the arrangements you had in place were excellent, as were the Tour Guides, Drivers, Vehicles, Flights and Accommodations. I must make special mention of your Tour Guide we had in Bangkok for our day tours. Her (English) name is EMMY and she looked after us for our half day Bangkok Temple/Grand Palace Tour, our evening at Silom Village and our full day to Floating Market, River Kwai and Tiger Temple. This young lady is one of the most remarkable people we have met during all our travels. She is an absolutely excellent tour guide and she always puts so much effort into making our holiday wonderful. If you and your company assist us with future travel arrangements  I would certainly hope you could arrange for this young lady to be our tour guide once more. On behalf of my wife, my mother and mother-in-law thankyou to you and to A & F Tours.

Great tour, very extensive, got everything I had planned done and excellent hotel. Overall a great touring company. However if you want to get clothes tailored, find your own tailor shop. Dont go to the one you are taken to. The one I used was in Sukhumvit Road soi 8, named "Crown Tailors." Better prices.

I spent 3 weeks in southeast Asia. The best part was in northern Thailand, with visits to hill tribes, elephant treks, moving around on bamboo rafts and long-tail boats. It was wonderful. I'd suggest more time there and not so much in Bangkok.

I also visited Myanmar (Burma) and Siem Reap in Cambodia. All interesting places, but Burma has some big down sides, in particular the political climate. However, Bagan was very interesting -- forget all the temples and visit the villages and the places locals, not tourists, go.

Suggest that potential clients think about how much time you want to spend seeing Buddhist temples and hearing about Buddhism. I found that part overdone.

One other suggestion: if you want to have custom tailoring done in Bangkok, find your own tailor using information such as Fodor's. The clothing I got from the guide's recommended tailor was very bad (and expensive). I wouldn't have purchased a single piece in the states even at half the price. You have to pay up front.

Hello from home again,
Indeed, we had a wonderful trip in your beautiful country, we certainly will recommend your travel outfit as we have been very pleased with your provided service, everything went well and without incidence. Our guide on the last 2 days named ART or Kanes Kaengsakul was most informative...even could speak some German to our friends who had limited english speaking....the places we stopped for lunch were perfect with excellent food and great taste.
The people of Thailand are most gracious and eager to help us if needed.
Again, many thanks for all, we sincerely appreciate it all.

Dear Franz,
We have now returned from our southeast Asia journey. The three day package to Cambodia that you arranged was excellent!! The guide and driver were very good, the accommodations were fine, the choices for restaurants was good and we enjoyed the entire experience.
We have three suggestions for you for future visitors. 1) Advance notice that two additional passport photos are required. 2) A full, clear page in the passport is required for the Cambodian visa. 3) The airport departure fees required in Bangkok and Siem Reap and in what currency.
There was a problem with our return stay in Bangkok at the Montien Hotel---they had the wrong dates. It was eventually taken care of but we found them to be somewhat uncooperative.
Thank you for your fine service. We will reccommend you to our friends visiting in the area.
Sincerely

We enjoyed the private tour we had to Ayuthaya and River Kwai. We were glad that the guide did not bring us to shops and pressured to buy things as is common in a number of tours we have done. The only dissatisfaction we had was to being brought to the pier take the cruise too early. We had to wait around doing nothing for more than one and a half hour waiting for others to arrive. This time could have been spent seeing other places or spending more time at each place earlier.
Jiro was great, very helpful and accomodating. We would use this agency again in future tours to Thailand !

Thank you very much, Jiro.
