VISA
Laos : Visa is required by all
nationalities. Visa is usually delivered by
Lao Embassies or is issued at Wattay Vientiane
airport, Luang Phrabang Airport and Friendship
Bridge. The visa on arrival is quoted US$ 30
per person. However, the procedure of getting
of visa will be change from time to time.
HEALTH
There are no specific health requirements for
entry in to Viet Nam , Cambodia and Laos. However,
you should consult your doctor for current information
and prescriptions for vaccinations, anti-malarial
requirements and any reasonably foreseeable
illnesses whilst travelling in Viet Nam, Cambodia
and Laos . We recommend that you carry a First
Aid kit as well as any personal medical requirements
( including a spare pair of glasses ).
SPENDING MONEY
You will need to allow enough money for meals,
drink, shopping, please also bring an additional
US$ 250 as an “ emergency” fun, to
be used if circumstances outside our control
( eg. natural disaster, flight delay,…
) necessitate a change to our planned route.
This is a rare occurrence! Tipping is very much
appreciated by local guides, driver, hotel staffs
and restaurant staffs. The suggested tip for
guide and driver is around US$ 5 per person
per day, but it is all depending on your satisfaction
of the services.
MONEY EXCHANGE
US currency ( cash or travellers cheques ) is
the most convenient to carry when travelling
in Laos. US$ cash or Thai Baht can be used directly
purchase goods and services along with the local
currency. Other major international currency
may be exchanged in the main cities, where visa
and MasterCard may also be used for cash advances.
The hotels we use offer exchange services at
a reasonable rate. It is not possible to exchange
the local currency outside the country so convert
or spend all your local currency before leaving.
MEALS
The package tour is generally including all
breakfast and few principal meals. An indication
of how much you will spend per meal is approximately
US$ 4 – 8 depending on what restaurant
you have meal.
LUANDRY
Facilities are offer by most
hotels for a charge. There will be times when
you want to or have to do your own so we suggest
bring non-polluting / biodegradable soap.
AIRPORT TAX
Laos: Airport tax is US$ 1.0 per passenger on
domestic flights and US$ 10 per passenger on
international flights.
