Day 1: Arrival/Beijing
Transfer via: International flights (Please arrange these yourself)
Upon your arrival at Beijing airport, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 2: Beijing
On this day you will first visit Tiananmen Square followed by the magnificent Forbidden City. In the afternoon you will marvel at the incredible Temple of Heaven.
The Tian’anmen (Gate of Heavenly Peace) Square: This is the largest city square in the world and is the spiritual heart of China, where the national flag is raised exactly at sunrise every day.
The Forbidden City: Located in the center of Beijing, this used to be the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties with a history of around 600 years. It is the grandest integral palace complex still remaining in China.
The Temple of Heaven: The place that was visited yearly in ancient times by the emperors who performed intricate rituals to insure a good harvest for the whole nation.

Day 3: Beijing 
You will visit the magnificent Great Wall (Mutianyu section) and the Sacred Road.
The Great Wall: The most famous symbol of China and one of the world’s most remarkable architectural wonders, it was built over 2,000 years ago and stretches about 6,700 km.
The Great Wall at Mutianyu: Mutianyu is a popular section of the Great Wall, located about 70 km northeast of Beijing. The scenery is truly spectacular and therefore this section enjoys a lot of visitors, both domestic and foreign. There are a number of small villages scattered around this part of the Wall.
The Sacred Road: This is the path lined with stone statues of animals, mystical beasts and officials who legend says would serve the emperor in his afterlife, and is the path through which the sitting emperors would go to perform memorial rituals for the ancestors once a year.

Day 4: Beijing/Xian
Transfer via: Domestic flight per our arrangement.
On this day you will be free until your local guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to Xian. Upon arriving in Xian, your local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax, or to step out to discover what this amazing city has to offer.

Day 5: Xian 
You will visit the incredible life-size Terracotta Warriors in the morning. After lunch, you will visit the Ancient City Walls and then the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.
Terracotta Warriors: Discovered in 1974 by local farmers digging a well, the warriors were one of the most significant archeological finds of the 20th century. The over 6,000 life-size painted terracotta warriors and horses individually sculpted from real-life models and arranged in battle formation have been protecting the mausoleum of the first emperor in Chinese history, Emperor Qin Shihuang, for over 2,200 years.
The Ancient City Walls: Built during the 14th century on Tang dynasty foundations, and dating back to the Ming Dynasty, the walls make up the largest and best-preserved ancient fortress in the world. There is a gate in each of the four sides, and the gate towers built over each gate look lofty and magnificent and form a tight defense engineering system.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda: Regarded by many as a symbol of the city, the pagoda was built in 652 A.D during the Tang Dynasty to house the sutras brought back from India by the famous monk Xuan-zang.

Day 6: Xian/Guilin

On this day you will be free until your guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to Guilin. Upon your arrival in Guilin, known as the most scenic city in China, your personal guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax, or step out into this dynamic city for a little adventure on your own.

Day 7: Guilin
After breakfast, you will be driven to Zhujiang Pier (40-minute drive) to start your boat cruise down the picturesque Li River, which is the highlight of any visit to Guilin. This cruise will take you to your next destination; Yangshuo County. Along the river, you will be inspired by breathtaking views of peaks and pinnacles, crystal-clear water and picturesque pastoral views of rice paddies and water buffaloes. Visitors feel they have stepped into a traditional Chinese painting.
After checking into your hotel, you will be free to explore Yangshuo and its famous West Street.
Yangshuo County: Founded in 590 AD, Yangshuo County has been booming because of tourism. With so many beautiful surrounding mountains, it is described as “the world of green lotus and jade bamboo shoots”.

Day 8: Guilin/Chongqing
Transfer via: Domestic flight on our arrangement.
Today’s excursion will bring you to the Reed Flute Cave before your guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to Chongqing. Upon arrival in Chongqing, you will be met by our guide and transferred to board the cruise ship, Ms. Century Star.
Reed Flute Cave: 5 kilometers away from the city center, it is famed as “A Natural Palace of Art”. The cave is filled with stalactites and stalagmites in a myriad of bizarre shapes. It is a showcase of nature’s splendor.

Day 9: Yangtze Cruise

Day 10: Yangtze Cruise 
Shore excursion: Lesser Three Gorges or Shennv/Shennong Stream

Day 11: Yichang/Shanghai

When you disembark the ship, you will be escorted to the airport for the flight to Shanghai. Upon your arrival at Shanghai, China’s most cosmopolitan city, your personal guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel.

Day 12: Shanghai
Today, your tour of the incredible Shanghai will include; the Shanghai Museum, the Bund and the Nanjing Road, the Yu Garden and the Yuyuan Market.
Shanghai Museum: Often ranked as China’s best museum, it is the biggest museum in China with a fine collection of over 120,000 pieces of Chinese artifacts.
The Bund (the word “Bund” was derived from an Anglo-Indian word meaning quay): This is where the great trading houses and banks had their headquarters in the 1920s and 1930s. About a mile long, it is the city’s fulcrum.
Nanjing Road: This is known as “China’s No.1 Shopping Street”, with a huge amount of merchandise on sale.
Yu Garden: Located in the Old Town of Shanghai and laid out in 1559 AD by a powerful Ming official, Yu Garden recreates a beautiful landscape of pagodas, pavilions, rockeries, fountains, ancient trees and precious flowers.
Yuyuan Market: Outside the Yu Garden is a bustling market with many different snacks and trinkets.

Day 13: Shanghai/International departures

The day is free at your leisure until our local guide escorts you to the airport for your onward flights.
